FOOT AND ANKLE ARTHROSCOPY (MINIMAL INVASIVE SURGERY)
At Valley Foot & Ankle Center (VFAC) we offer Arthroscopic Surgery, which is a minimally invasive procedure used to treat and diagnosis foot and ankle problems. It can be used to treat many other conditions as well, such as: arthritis, plantar fasciitis, joint damage, cartilage damage, ligament damage, tendon damage, and bone spur. This procedure usually only take about 30-45 minutes.
Dr. Hormozi has great expertise in Arthroscopic foot and ankle surgery. Dr. Hormozi has gained a reputation for performing Arthroscopic foot and ankle surgery for many semi-pro athletes, college athletes, high school athletes, and patients of all ages.
Dr. Hormozi has an excellent surgical success rate using Arthroscopic foot and ankle surgery. In addition Dr. Hormozi assists and teaches other surgeons about Arthroscopic Surgery.
Arthroscopic Surgery is performed by making two small 1 cm incisions at the surgical site, then instruments are inserted through these small incisions and the procedure is then performed. The recovery from Arthroscopic Surgery is extremely fast when compared to the traditional open procedure. Arthroscopic Surgery incisions are much smaller, therefore there is much less damage to the soft tissue, minimal scarring, and less likelihood for nerve and vessel damage.
Dr. Hormozi, our podiatrist Tarzana CA, uses the most advanced Arthroscopic Surgical techniques. In most cases, patients are able to walk immediately after surgery in a surgical boot, and by the third week most patients are back to regular shoe gear.
