Diagnostic Ultrasound

At Valley Foot & Ankle Center (VFAC) we offer imaging Ultrasound Study in the office, which is a painless, non-invasive study.

Ultrasound can also be used to view the specific area of pathology in order to diagnose pathology.

Ultrasound can be used to diagnose soft tissue foot and ankle pathology that involve tendons, ligaments, muscles, nerves, and foreign bodies.  Ultrasound is a highly advanced imaging modality.

In addition, injections can be done using Ultrasound, and they can then be performed more accurately than the traditional injection.  Ultrasound guided injections are powerful tool in regards to the foot and ankle pathology since all the structures are so small and the anatomy in this part of the human body is extremely complex.
