Diabetic/Therapeutic Shoes

At Valley Foot & Ankle Center (VFAC) we make and dispense custom Diabetic Shoes and Therapeutic Shoes in our office for patients. These shoes are recommended for patients with a history of Diabetic Neuropathy, Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD), foot and ankle deformities, patients on anticoagulation therapy, or to prevent ulceration and amputations of the foot and ankle.

At Valley Foot & Ankle Center (VFAC) we measure patients’ feet in our office, then patients are able to choose from a wide variety of shoes and different brands.

Diabetic Therapeutic Shoes

At Valley Foot & Ankle Center (VFAC) we offer a wide array of Diabetic shoes and therapeutic shoes right in our office. Patients can get casted and fitted for these shoes right in the office. Usually patients that qualify under Medicare guidelines for these Diabetic shoes are patients with history of Diabetic Neuropathy, Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD), have foot and ankle deformities, or patients who can benefit from wearing these shoes in order to prevent wounds and amputations.  There are expectations for other patients to qualify for Diabetic shoes as well, please contact your physician for more information.
